What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants is a dental procedure in which a titanium post is surgically inserted into the jaw bone that serves as a root for a missing teeth. Once the titanium post gets fused to the jaw bone (osseo-integration), a custom made tooth (crown) is attached to the top of the post for a natural looking and fully functional replacement of the lost tooth.
Dental implants are different from dentures or bridges because they are permanent and become an independent restoration that do not affect neighbouring healthy teeth.
